TRAVEL
As an influencer and content creator, I've had the privilege of curating a platform that blends fashion, beauty, travel and wellness.
Margaux’s room is still my favorite room in the house. We poured so much love into this room and it warms my heart to see her wake up in here every morning with a big smile on her face.
PAINT DETAILS:
We decided to lime wash the walls in the nursery for a couple different reasons. First, I absolutely love the look! I feel like it adds warmth and texture to a room and gives it a calming feel. The second is because it is a non-toxic option which was ultimately the most important for us. Lime Wall Paint is eco-friendly as it contains only naturally occurring ingredients from the earth. As a natural mineral finish, Lime Wall Paint is a non-toxic, zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint with no synthetic chemicals or fillers. When applied it absorbs and removes odorous and harmful carbon dioxide from the air in the curing process thus improving interior air quality. This highly breathable lime wash paint protects your living space by not trapping moisture and humidity inside walls. Due to the alkaline pH of Lime Wall Paint the surface is also hygienic and is resistant to mold and bacteria.
We applied the lime wash ourselves over the current paint and it wasn’t difficult – just a little time consuming with the dry time. Overall it was definitely worth the time and was a true labor of love!
We used JH Wall Paints. We first used the mineral primer then did one coat of 104 and after that dried we did one coat of 103 on top to add some dimension. We only needed one gallon of each color to finish the room.
COLORS & FURNITURE:
We decided to go with whites, creams and subtle pinks for our little girls room. We are so happy with the way things came together and love that the furniture can be used for years to come. The top changing station can be removed from the dresser and the crib has a toddler bed attachment so we felt it was worth the investment.
